"false feeling of soldiering"

Question

i cant seem to find why henry has a false feeling of soldiering in the army, anyone know?

I think Henry has a false feeling of soldiering because he is not Italian and he is really not part of the army.

Henry also does not have any sense of loyalty to a country or to a cause. He is a lost soul in a lost world.

I think Henry has a false feeling of soldiering because he hates war and every thing can be a part of it.
