How does this develop the concepts you have already discussed when thinking about the term'doll's house'?

How does the language (Tovald uses when he speaks to Nora) develop the concepts you have already discussed when thinking about the term'doll's house'?

Torvald's language is demeaning and makes his wife seem like little more than nothing. She may do as she pleases as long as she defines and reflects the pet names he uses with her, “my little skylark” and “my squirrel.” He only calls her by her name when he's unhappy with her, something generally done between parents and their children. He sees her a little more than a child and speaks to her in the same way.
