How does Ibsen use these characters from respected professions to comment on society?

Characters? Which characters? He uses doctors and lawyers...... memories of Nora's father (an important figure even though he's dead). I believe Ibsen uses these characters to help the reader or audience visualize that even the educated treated people in an uneducated way. Society has a single, one sided viewpoint; the use of these characters supports that a woman's role in society was seen in exactly this way.
