A Doll's House

Do you think that Ibsen's ending of the play is appropriate or inappropriate? Why or why not?

You know I was hoping for something like the famous door slam at the end. Really Torvald was clueless about everything that Nora was. Nora had to make a decision. Either she played the part of the submissive wife hollow of anything inside her or try to discover herself. If Nora had not left, she considered killing herself; the play would have lacked the impact which has inspired women for generations. The act of a woman defining herself on her own terms was a radical idea back then but needed badly.
