what is the repentance scrooge feels, and what is the salvation from/to/idk/towards scrooge

The repentance Scrooge feels comes mainly towards the end of the play. He sees his own grave and the futility of his whole life. He sees how he let the people he should have helped down. Scrooge asks the spirit if it is too late to change. When he wakes up in his bed on Christmas morning he finds salvation and changes his ways.
