Scrooge is pretty frightened. He is not sure if he is going crazy or not or have some pretty bad indigestion. He is impacted enough to converse with Marley and hear his story. After Marley leaves, Scrooge ponders the vision might have been a dream....until the Ghost of Christmas Past shows up.
