self pity and masochism

I'm swedish, and bad in English,but I've red A Burnt-Out Case several times, and also what Norman Sherry and Michael Shelden had to say about the author, and of course, Yvonne Cloetta. In the light of thousands of burnt-out cases in my home country, I really would like to discuss how anger and hate, not to mention disgust, can put a lid on the insigts of ones own despair and self-pity, as in a non sexual masochism, in which there would be no pleasure at all.
