Why does Winston trust her?

Winston does not really know whether to trust Julia at this point. He is more inclined to believe the note is a trap of some kind by the thought police. Winston, however, desperately wants to believe that there could be more to her cryptic "I love you" note than simply a trap. At this point in the text, however, Winston does not trust her.
