Examples of satire and irony in 1984?

I never considered 1984 very satirical. It is certainly a dystopian novel. I suppose when Goldstein turns into a goat on screen during the two minutes of hate might be seen as satirical but most of the people watching actually take it at face value. There is so much irony in 1984 that you need to be more specific. Orwell turns mant instances of irony into paradox because of the mentality of this autocratic state. The three slogans (war is peace....) are examples of this. Winston both lusts for Julia and hates her at the same time is another example of irony that becomes paradox once we understand the context.
