The Parsons are Winston's neighbours in Victory Mansions. In chapter two Mrs. Parsons comes to ask Winston to unclog her sink. The Parson family seems rather typical. Their children have been indoctrinated into the party as spies. Mrs. Parsons has no control over her children. She is constantly in fear that they might report her if she attempts to discipline them.
