Some might say that Junior/Arnold went through a lot in order to escape the reservation. Support this statement. Think of at least two specific examples from the book that make the above statement true.

Junior must go through a lot of rejection by both his people and initially white people at Reardan. Junior was caught between to cultures and identities, both who rejected him. Many Junior's own people rejected him for going to white school. They feel Junior was saying that Indians were not good enough for them. Initially white students in rearden rejected Junior because he was Indian. Junior also often had to walk long distances to get to school and home when his father was too drunk or didn't have money for gas to drive him.
