Act 3 scene 1

In a sentence Hamlet is considerring the consequences of the play he is about to put on that will confront Claudius with his crime of killing King Hamlet and Claudius will know that Hamlet knows Claudius' secret. His soliloquy ponders his task as a life or death endeavor. Hamlet is growing up. He is realizing for the first time that men pull on their life and death pants every morning. Remember, in the background is lurking young Prince Fortinbras who is already wearing his man boots.
